Treehouse Joins Holiday Cheer at 110th Annual Santa Claus Parade
Dora and Friends to embark on a Canadian city adventure on the Treehouse float
Parade to premiere on Treehouse, Sunday, December 21 at 12 p.m. ET
TORONTO, Nov. 10, 2014 /CNW/ - Corus Entertainment is thrilled to announce that Treehouse will be joining this year's 110th Annual Santa Claus Parade as it delights thousands of families lining the streets of downtown Toronto on November 16, 2014, beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET. The whimsical, colourful world of Canada's #1 preschool channel will come to life in a spectacular float, complete with the Treehouse lighthouse, butterflies and bumblebees. The float will prominently feature beloved latina heroine Dora from Nickelodeon's all new series Dora and Friends: Into the City, donning her magical charm bracelet to help her navigate the city streets. Children's entertainment duo Splash'N Boots, who appear often on Treehouse, will also be riding the float. Kids and families across Canada will have the opportunity to watch the parade when it is broadcast on Treehouse on Sunday, December 21 at 12 p.m. ET/PT.
The Santa Claus Parade is part of a special holiday lineup on Treehouse. The channel will have festive hits every night at 5 p.m. beginning on Monday, December 15 to Thursday, December 25, in which Treehouse will air holiday classics including Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus is Coming to Town and debut new holiday episodes of My Big Big Friend, Peg + Cat, Zack & Quack, Bubble Guppies, Trucktown and Dinopaws. Viewers will also be treated to all-day holiday programming on December 24 and 25.
Brand new episodes of Dora and Friends: Into the City! will premiere on Treehouse on the first two weekends in December on Saturday and Sundays mornings at 11:30 a.m. ET/PT. Dora and Friends: Into the City! is a half-hour educational preschool series featuring the iconic character Dora living in a city, attending school and at the center of a peer group that works together to give back to the community — having both real-life and magical adventures along the way.
