Trenton Update - Suspects Apprehended
TRENTON, ON, Feb. 28 /CNW/ - In the afternoon of February 28, 2010, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Quinte West officers with the assistance of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) and Northumberland OPP Officers, arrested Jason FROST and Michael GARNISS for the death of 48-year-old Lisa Marie Palmiere, also known as Lisa Todd, of Trenton.
During the evening of February 27, 2010, Quinte West OPP officers responded to a shooting on Sidney Street, Trenton. Under the direction of Detective Inspector Shawn Glassford, Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), officers launched an extensive search for two suspects.
Charged with first degree murder are:
1) Jason Tyler FROST, age 30 of no fixed address and
2) Michael Wallace GARNISS, age 49 of no fixed address
Frost was apprehended at the Quinte West OPP Detachment. Garniss was apprehended at a truck stop in Bowmanville, Ontario. Both were without incident.
Both are being held in custody and will appear in Belleville court on Monday, March 1, 2010.
FROST and GARNISS were known to the victim.
A post mortem will be scheduled for Lisa Palmiere at the Coroner's Office, Toronto.
