EDMONTON, March 14, 2014 /CNW/ - Tribal Alliance Productions announced today it will present "Power of Media", a public screening of the award-winning film "Older than America" followed by a panel discussion at the Art Gallery of Alberta on March 17, 2014.

"With this event we hope to inspire people to support and encourage participation from all political and social sectors in this city in the Alberta National Event of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada," said event organizer and filmmaker Georgina Lightning. "This is not just a Native event. We are all dealing with the legacy of Indian Residential Schools."
Ms. Lightning will be joined in the panel discussion by: Chief Wilton Littlechild and Dr. Marie Wilson, Commissioners of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada; as well as Lewis Cardinal and Jacqui Linder.
