Tridel Crowned BILD Home Builder of the Year

GREATER TORONTO, April 29, 2013 /CNW/ - Tridel was awarded the prestigious Home Builder of the Year award by the Building Industry and Land Development Association at the 33rd annual BILD Awards on Friday, April 26.

The company was deemed the winner for its focus on quality, superior customer service, innovation and commitment to green building, industry leadership and partnerships, and contributions to the community.

"The quality of new homes in the GTA is among the best in the world and Tridel has helped to raise the bar," said BILD President and CEO Bryan Tuckey.

The Home Builder of the Year award was established by BILD in 1998 to recognize the builder who sets the standard for the rest of the industry by their leadership in improving the overall image of the industry.

The award is based on quality, service and customer commitment from the moment the agreement of purchase and sale is signed right through to post-closing service period. A key component of the judging process is a customer satisfaction survey, completed by recent occupants of the builder's communities.

"I am very satisfied with the overall process from purchase to closing," wrote one homeowner. "I had a very positive experience as the quality of the building materials and workmanship is excellent while communication from the builder was timely and frequent."

Other homeowners praised Tridel for the professionalism of its staff and the frequent communication, which included seminars to help understand the process.

This is the second time Tridel has been recognized by the Association with this award, having been crowned High-Rise Home Builder of the Year in 2004.
