Trillium Health Partners Selects RL6 for Infection Surveillance

Health system will add RL6:Infection to its suite of RL6 patient safety software

TORONTO, May 22, 2014 /CNW/ - RL Solutions, creators of innovative and easy to use healthcare quality and safety software, announced today that Trillium Health Partners of Mississauga, Ontario, has selected RL to provide automated infection surveillance throughout its organization.

RL Solutions' infection prevention software, RL6:Infection, will complement the health system's existing infection prevention programs including antibiotic stewardship and hand hygiene audits. Trillium Health Partners, which was formed by an amalgamation of Mississauga's Trillium Health Centre and The Credit Valley Hospital in 2011, will use RL6 to conduct real-time surveillance of its hospital systems such as laboratory, surgical procedures and pharmacy orders.

Trillium's strategic priorities include high quality care and exceptional patient experience, and RL6 will help the health system provide a safer environment for its patients. Currently, Trillium Health Partners proactively reports patient safety indicators such as MRSA and C.diff rates, and hand hygiene and surgical safety compliance. With RL6:Infection, infection preventionists (IPs) will have this critical infection data at their fingertips through an intuitive, easy-to-use dashboard interface.
