TORONTO, May 20, 2014 /CNW/ - Lewd. Obnoxious. Drunken. The city's most controversial mayor comes to DLPR as the freshman season of CTV's original hit comedy SPUN OUT comes to a close, Friday, May 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and CTV GO. The season's final episode follows the scandalously epic antics of an out-of-control mayor who desperately needs help with his image, and DLPR's attempts at landing him as a client.

On "This is Gonna Take Awhile" (Friday, May 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV), Marty Adams (THE RON JAMES SHOW) guest stars as the headline-grabbing mayor, whose recent "dump" in a city pothole lands him in a desperate state of PR crisis. Recognizing that he is badly in need of an image makeover, and grabbing headlines for all the wrong reasons, Dave (Dave Foley) challenges the team to land the mayor as a client at the firm's charity casino night. But when the casino permit isn't properly filed, the police arrive and Dave is placed under house arrest, leaving Stephanie (Rebecca Dalton) to deflect the brunt of the mayor's antics and drunken advances. Once the police get involved, the mayor goes missing, and Dave begins to wonder if the mayor is too much for the even the best in PR to handle. Meanwhile Abby (Holly Deveaux) convinces Beckett (Paul Campbell) to tell Stephanie how he feels, and Nelson (Al Mukadam) tries to keep the fact that he and his husband have broken up a secret.
Viewers can catch encore presentations of "This is Gonna Take Awhile" on Saturday, May 24 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, and Monday, May 26 at 10:30 p.m. on The Comedy Network. Following its premiere broadcast, the finale completes the full season of SPUN OUT, available on demand on CTV.ca and the CTV GO app.
