Trudeau Corporation Announces Voluntary Recall of Trudeau Garlic Duo (Garlic

BOUCHERVILLE, QC, Sept. 16 /CNW Telbec/ - Trudeau Corporation has advised Health Canada that it is voluntarily recalling approximately 11,000 combination garlic press/garlic slicer units in Canada . The firm has received four reports of the unit's slicer blades breaking, posing a potential laceration hazard.

There have been no reported injuries, however out of an abundance of caution and an unwavering commitment to product quality, consumer satisfaction and safety, Trudeau has decided to recall the Garlic Duo.

Model numbers 998009, 998010 or 0518010 were printed on the unit's packing card, hang tag, or UPC label, but not on the unit. The units have TRUDEAU embossed on the handle. The Garlic Duo was sold at a variety of kitchen accessory stores and online from July 2008 for about $20-$25 retail.

Consumers should stop using the Garlic Duo immediately and contact Trudeau directly at 1-800-878-3328 or visit www.trudeau.ca to obtain a free replacement garlic press and a complimentary utensil pot clip.
