True Love is Right around the Corner at PetSmart Charities of Canada National Adoption Weekend, February 14-16

TORONTO, Jan. 30, 2014 /CNW/ - Don't spend this Valentine's Day at home waiting to get swept off your feet. Unconditional love is waiting for you at the PetSmart Charities of Canada National Adoption Weekend, sponsored by PetSmart^®, from February 14-16 at your local PetSmart store. Whether you are looking for a relaxed, cool cat or a youthful, energetic puppy, you're bound to find the perfect match.

With more than a hundred "matchmakers" (animal-welfare organizations) on-site at the more than 85 PetSmart stores in Canada, you can easily find the perfect pet to cuddle up with during National Adoption Weekend.

"PetSmart Charities of Canada made a significant impact on pet homelessness last year through National Adoption Weekend events," said John DeFranco, president, PetSmart Charities of Canada. "Through our valued partnerships we hope to save even more lives this year and share the love adopted pets bring their families."

PetSmart Charities will reward all participating adoption partners; each will receive $35 in adoption-reward grants for every pet adopted during the event. PetSmart, Inc., Purina^® Pro Plan^® and MAXX Scoop^® are proud sponsors of National Adoption Weekend.

Visit the PetSmart Charities of Canada's adoption centre inside any PetSmart store in Canada from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16.
