TSB Advisory - TSB Deploys Investigator to Rail accident in Airdrie, Alberta

GATINEAU, QC, Aug. 3 /CNW Telbec/ - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has deployed an investigator to today's rail accident in Airdrie, Alberta. TSB senior Rail investigator James Carmichael is the Investigator-in-Charge.

On 3, August 2010, at approximately 7:00 am local time, a train was involved in an accident.

The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
