GATINEAU, QC, May 7, 2012 /CNW/ - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) will be deploying a team to investigate a floatplane accident in Lake Kapekun, Manitoba. Because the lake is so remote, the investigators will arrive at the accident site on Wednesday 09 May 2012 to inspect the wreckage. Once there, the TSB will gather information and assess the occurrence.
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
