TSB deploys a team to the site of a crossing accident involving a VIA Rail train near St-Liboire, Quebec Français
DORVAL, QC, June 2, 2014 /CNW/ - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) is deploying a team of investigators to the site of a crossing accident involving a VIA Rail train near St-Liboire, Quebec. The TSB will gather information and assess the occurrence.
The risk of passenger trains colliding with vehicles is on the TSB Watchlist. The Watchlist identifies the transportation safety issues that pose the greatest risk to Canadians.
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
