TSB Releases Final Investigation Report on Fatal Crossing Collision in
Nanaimo, British Columbia
GATINEAU, QC, Sept. 7 /CNW/ - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) will hold a media availability on September 9, 2010, to make public the TSB investigation report (R09V0219) on the fatal collision between VIA passenger train 198 and a vehicle at a railway crossing in Nanaimo, British Columbia, on October 14, 2009.
The Investigator-in-Charge, Mr. Peter Hickli, and Mr. Dan Holbrook, Manager, Head Office, Western Regional Operations - Rail, will answer questions in English. Mr. Glen Pilon, Investigator/Technical Coordinator, will address questions in French. The three experts will be available for questions and interviews on site.
