CANADA CUP
Sweeping coverage of the CANADA CUP begins tomorrow (Wednesday, Nov. 28) at 10 a.m. ET on TSN with round robin draws and culminates on Sunday, Dec. 2 with the men's and women's finals. In total, TSN will air 40.5 hours of live curling from the CANADA CUP, taking place in Moose Jaw, SK (see complete broadcast schedule below).
The CANADA CUP features seven men's and seven women's teams, each competing for $70,000 in prize money. The men's and women's champions will directly qualify for the 2013 Canadian Olympic Trials, which will determine Canada's representatives for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Russia. The champions will also be invited to the 2014 World Financial Group Continental Cup.
TSN's acclaimed curling broadcast team is in Moose Jaw with Vic Rauter calling the action alongside Linda Moore, the 1985 Canadian and World Champion and 1988 Olympic gold medallist, and Russ Howard, a two-time Brier champion and 2006 Olympic gold medallist.
This year's CANADA CUP features some of the biggest names in curling. The men's side includes Glenn Howard, Kevin Martin, Jeff Stoughton, Kevin Koe, Brad Gushue, Mike McEwen, and John Epping, while the women's field features Heather Nedohin, Jennifer Jones, Stefanie Lawton, Sherry Middaugh, and Cathy Overton-Clapham.
Last year's CANADA CUP champions, Kevin Martin and Jennifer Jones, and last season's Canadian Team Ranking System leaders Glenn Howard and Heather Nedohin, have already qualified for the 2013 Canadian Olympic Trials.
All CANADA CUP draws are also available live on TSN Mobile TV and on-demand at TSN.ca following the conclusion of the live television broadcast.
