Turning Research into Reality - DIALOG's New Healthcare Principal Dedicated to Improving Healthcare Design
CALGARY, Feb. 27, 2013 /CNW/ - National design firm DIALOG is pleased to announce the appointment of Adrian Lao, Architect, AAA, MRAIC, LEED® AP, as a Principal. Adrian has been an Associate with DIALOG since 2010 and brings with him extensive experience working on healthcare related projects. Adrian is known for his excellent project management skills, ability to connect with clients and his passion for innovative healthcare architecture.
"Adrian has been a valuable member of our healthcare team since he joined DIALOG," remarks Tom Sutherland, Managing Principal. "His leadership and client focus mentality has earned high praise from our clients and we are excited to have him continue his role as part of our national healthcare team."
Adrian Lao, Architect, AAA, MRAIC, LEED® AP, brings close to 20 years of architectural and project management experience to DIALOG. Adrian's passion for innovative healthcare architecture led him to pursue a collaborative post-graduate degree with the UBC School of Nursing, the SFU Gerontology Research Centre, and the UBC School of Architecture in 1994. This offered Adrian insight into how the built environment impacts human health and well-being, specifically in the area of health and senior aging. Adrian has worked on various healthcare and institutional projects across Alberta and British Columbia, including key project design and management roles for the Royal Jubilee Hospital, Alberta Children's Hospital, and South Health Campus. Adrian is currently leading the Grand Prairie Regional Hospital project as the Project Architect and Project Manager. Adrian will be based in DIALOG's Calgary studio and will be a part of DIALOG's national healthcare team alongside DIALOG Principals Jim Goodwin, Rob Swart, Tom Sutherland and Lynn Webster.
"Our clients love working with Adrian," says Lynn Webster, Principal. "He is very personable and understands their needs. Adrian fits in perfectly with our team's integrated and collaborative approach to design, and I'm certain his drive and passion for design excellence will be instrumental in leading our team to new heights."
