TORONTO, Aug. 20 /CNW/ - TVO is pleased to announce that beginning August 21, TVO and TVOKids programs will be available for the first time on Rogers On Demand.
Rogers On Demand will offer Rogers Digital Cable customers TVO and TVOKids content free on channel 100 at any time. TVO on Rogers on Demand will feature current affairs programs including past episodes of The Agenda with Steve Paikin. Younger viewers will find TVOKids' educational programs from Gisèle's Big Backyard (ages 2-5) and The Space (ages 6-9).
TVO documentaries will also be available for a rental fee of $1.99 per movie on Rogers On Demand.
"In today's fast-paced world, providing viewers with more options is something we are proud of," says Lisa de Wilde, Chief Executive Officer at TVO.
"TVO content is designed to enlighten, engage and inspire and when we are able to connect with more people in more ways, we make a greater impact," adds Ms. de Wilde.
As TVO continues to increase its digital offerings, this month Rogers has added the high definition version of TVO to its Digital Basic package and has begun rolling out the service in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). In the coming weeks, TVOHD channel 580 will become available for free to all Rogers Digital Basic Cable subscribers in Ontario with an HD box.
