TORONTO, Aug. 27, 2013 /CNW/ - TVO is pleased to welcome Andrew Steele as the Vice President, Strategy. This new position will develop and implement corporate strategy, external relations and communications. The Vice President, Strategy works with and across all TVO departments to manage and communicate the strategic plan, to drive and influence strategic decision-making, and to lead external relations and communications.
"A strategic plan isn't the endpoint, it's the beginning. We are taking our new five-year vision and making it a reality," said CEO Lisa de Wilde. "Everyone at TVO has a role in our future success, and Andrew brings skills and experience to drive our vision forward."
Andrew joins TVO with extensive experience in strategy development and implementation, communications, and managing non-profits. Most recently, Andrew was the founding CEO of the Pecaut Centre for Social Impact, working with the Boston Consulting Group, Cossette, Ernst and Young, McCarthy Tétrault and others to develop and implement growth strategies for leading non-profits.
Previously, he worked as a strategy consultant and as Senior Advisor to the Premier of Ontario. Andrew authors a regular column for The Globe and Mail's digital media platform and sits on the board of the Toronto East General Hospital Foundation.
Andrew graduated with distinction from the Richard Ivey School of Business MBA program at the University of Western Ontario. He also earned degrees at the University of British Columbia and Trent University, focusing on statistics and public opinion.
