TVO presents the 2014 annual ILC & GED Graduation and Awards Ceremony at MaRs Discovery District with Special Guest Ontario Education Minister Liz Sandals

TORONTO, Sept. 22, 2014 /CNW/ - On Saturday, September 27, the Independent Learning Centre (ILC) holds its annual Graduation and Awards Ceremony at the MaRs Discovery District in Toronto. Ontario Education Minister Liz Sandals will be on hand to address the graduates. TVO's Piya Chattopadhyay hosts the ceremony which recognizes the accomplishments of students from across Ontario who have earned their Ontario Secondary School Diploma through distance education, or their Ontario High School Equivalency Certificate by successfully writing the General Educational Development (GED) test.

The ILC is Ontario's designated provider of accredited distance education and the exclusive provider of the GED test in Ontario. The ILC provides an alternative for students to help them get the credentials they need to access post-secondary education. For the past 12 years, the ILC has been a division of TVO, Ontario's educational media organization.
