TORONTO, Feb. 16, 2016 /CNW/ - TVO welcomes Nam Kiwanuka to its flagship current affairs program, The Agenda with Steve Paikin. Nam will be the alternate host for Steve Paikin and will be the host of The Agenda in the Summer.

She has written for the Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, xoJane.com, Upscale Magazine, the Hartford Courant, Jane Magazine, was the editor of the African Business Journal, and was a columnist for BBC Focus on Africa Magazine. Nam was also named Emerging Filmmaker for the Class of 2013 by the ReelWorld Film Festival.
"My family came to Canada as refugees and TVO introduced us to the world," says Nam. "It was a distinctive part of my childhood because I learned so much from TVO. It's so exciting to now be the host for The Agenda in the Summer. I'm looking forward to interviewing all of these phenomenal guests and to learning with and from the audience."
