- Nominate your favourite teacher and you will have a chance to win a pizza party for your class and a laptop computer for your teacher.
TORONTO, April 19 /CNW/ - TVOKids is calling on all grade school students across Ontario to nominate their favourite teacher in its fourth annual Best Teacher Ever Contest in Partnership with City Parent, a perfect way to end the school year on a high note for both teachers and students.
From May 3 until June 16, the Best Teacher Ever Contest in Partnership with City Parent gives grade-school kids an opportunity to recognize their teachers for the valuable work that they do. The Best Teacher Ever Contest in Partnership with City Parent is a popular feature on TVOKids.com. Last year's contest received over 16,000 entries. Throughout the contest a "Teacher of the Day" will be featured on tvokids.com.
To enter, kids must write to TVOKids describing, in as few or as many words as they wish, what makes their teacher so special. Is it because they make every kid feel welcome and at home in the classroom? Do they go out of their way to give extra help after class? Or do they just make learning fun? Entries should also include their teacher's name and school and can be mailed to:
TVOKids The Space Attn: Best Teacher Ever Contest in Partnership with City Parent Box 200, Station Q Toronto, ON M4T 2T1 Kids can also enter online at TVOKids.com. Prizes will be awarded in three categories: - Junior kindergarten to senior kindergarten - Primary (grades 1-3) - Junior (grades 4-6)
Both teachers and the students who nominate them have a chance to win. Winners will be chosen on June 17 in a random draw:
- One teacher from each category will win a laptop computer, and a pizza party for the class.
