TORONTO, Aug. 23, 2012 /CNW/ - CTV's highly anticipated new comedy THE NEW NORMAL gets a sneak peek online preview at CTV.ca, it was announced today. The advance digital screening begins Wednesday, Aug. 29 before its television premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, immediately following new hit comedy ANGER MANAGEMENT.
From award-winning executive producer and director Ryan Murphy, THE NEW NORMAL follows the journey of two men with booming careers and a loving partnership. Bryan (Andrew Rannells; Girls, The Book of Mormon) and David's (Justin Bartha; The Hangover) life together is missing only one thing: a baby. A broke single mother, Goldie (Georgia King; One Day) signs up to become the guys' surrogate as she tries to buy a new start for her and her daughter after ditching her dead-end life and trying to escape her small-minded grandmother (played by Emmy® and Tony Award®-winner, Ellen Barkin).
"THE NEW NORMAL is a strong addition to CTV's comedy lineup," said Mike Cosentino, Senior Vice-President, Programming, CTV Networks. "The two week preview is a perfect way to generate buzz and audience momentum leading into the fall season."
Golden Globe® and Emmy®-winning Ryan Murphy (Glee, American Horror Story) serves as creator/executive producer and director along with creator/executive producer Ali Adler (Glee, Chuck) and executive producer Dante Di Loreto (Glee, American Horror Story).
