TORONTO, Aug. 20, 2012 /CNW/ - Summer may be ending, but the fun(ny) will continue on The Comedy Network this fall, as new series and specials, returning fan favourites, and two new Comedy original series join the schedule. Poised to reduce stress levels of Canadians across the country, Comedy's fall schedule delivers side-splitting laughter with its all-new original series JUST FOR LAUGHS: ALL ACCESS, premiering Friday, Oct. 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Filmed at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal this July, the 13-episode series features The Muppets, Bill Hader, Joel McHale, and Jack McBrayer, among others. Keeping the laughs going is the first English-language remake of the classic comedy game show MATCH GAME. Premiering Monday, Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and airing Monday to Friday, MATCH GAME challenges competitors to try to match their responses to fill-in-the-blank questions, to the witty, nonsensical answers of favourite Canadian comedians and celebrities.
School has never been so fun, as Comedy hits the books in September with lawyer Jeff Winger (Joel McHale, THE SOUP) and his study group at Greendale Community College in The Comedy Network premiere of COMMUNITY, airing Monday to Thursday at 9:30 p.m. ET beginning Sept. 4. Airing exclusively in Canada on Comedy beginning Monday, Sept. 10 are new series MEN AT WORK (10 p.m. ET/PT), which follows four misfit men who work together at a magazine, and SULLIVAN & SON (10:30 p.m. ET/PT), about an attorney who realizes that he really belongs back home running the family business.
Also joining Comedy's schedule this fall is one of the most buzzed-about new series of the season, ANGER MANAGEMENT. Starring Charlie Sheen (TWO AND A HALF MEN) as a therapist specializing in anger management while dealing with anger issues of his own, the series is sure to be a #winning addition to the schedule when it premieres Friday, Sept. 14 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT.
Rounding out the fall lineup are the season premieres of returning fan favourites TOSH.0 (Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. ET), WORKAHOLICS (Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 10:30 p.m.), SOUTH PARK (Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 10 p.m. ET), and KEY & PEELE (Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 10:30 p.m.).
