Ubisoft Quebec City announces the appointment of François Pelland as the new Executive Director of Development Français
The producer of Assassin's Creed III joins the Quebec City studio to oversee the development of future AAA projects
QUEBEC CITY, June 4, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Ubisoft Quebec is pleased to announce the appointment of François Pelland as Executive Director of Development. At the helm for Assassin's Creed III, François now joins forces with the Quebec City studio's management team in order to ensure the leadership of the innovation and creativity hub of Ubisoft Quebec. Supported by a team of technology and production specialists, he will be responsible for successfully delivering the ambitious projects being developed at the studio.

François is a veteran of the gaming industry, having accumulated more than 16 years of experience in the field, including over 10 years as a team leader and manager. Over the past two years, he has headed the team behind Assassin's Creed III as Senior Producer. He previously held the position of Senior Development Director at EA in Montreal where he worked on Army of Two and Army of Two: The 40th Day. He also participated in the inception of Ubisoft Montreal where he successively held several key positions. Among other things, he was a member of the creative team who developed the initial Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, a project that enabled Ubisoft Montreal to rapidly position itself as one of the world's biggest production studios.
