UL Warns of Counterfeit UL Mark on Power Supply (Release 15PN-24)
NORTHBROOK, Ill., Sept. 30, 2015 /CNW/ -- The following is a notification from UL that the power supply identified below bears a counterfeit UL Mark. The power supply has not been evaluated by UL to the appropriate Standards for Safety and it is unknown if this power supply complies with any safety requirements.
Note the markings on the counterfeit power supply and a power supply that is authorized to bear a UL Mark are similar, the counterfeit power supply is marked "AC/DC Adapter" the power supply that is authorized to bear a UL Mark is marked "AC ADAPTER". Also the orientation of the label on the counterfeit product and the authorized products are different.
