Ultra 94 GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama champion Scott Hargrove handed keys to 911 Carrera S Français
Driver receives top prize for a year following his season win
WOODBRIDGE, ON, Sept. 22, 2017 /CNW/ - The Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama series recently completed its seventh season after 12 exhilarating races. The two classes of Porsche GT3 Cup cars provided fans and drivers alike with great racing and epic, championship battles that were contested to the very end at the final weekend event for 2017 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
Scott Hargrove emerged as the Platinum Cup winner of the 2017 Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama. It is Hargrove's second time winning the championship – also winning top honours in 2014.
In addition to his trophy, Platinum Cup champion Scott Hargrove took home a new Porsche 911 Carrera S, which he will have the pleasure of driving for one year, courtesy of Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd.

Scott Hargrove first joined the series in 2014 and soon found his home with OpenRoad Racing Porsche. Later that year, he claimed his first championship title. For the 2017 season, he joined the Pfaff Motorsports/Castrol team. Competition was tight this season with Zacharie Robichon of Mark Motors Racing keeping a close second in the rankings.
The Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama is one of three official Development Series sanctioned by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA).
