TORONTO, April 25, 2016 /CNW/ - From Hollywood's most prestigious events including THE GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS® and THE OSCARS®, to Canada's very own CANADIAN SCREEN AWARDS and JUNO AWARDS, Canadians continue to choose CTV's ETALK as their #1 destination for red carpet and post-award show coverage. The entertainment program celebrates its most successful award season to date with an average audience of 778,000 viewers for awards coverage, up 8% vs. last year with total viewers and up 4% with A25-54. ETALK's award season is also 52% higher than its Canadian competitor ET CANADA (Global, 511,000) and 44% higher than ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT (Global, 540,000).
2015-16 Award Season Highlights:
- All of ETALK's award/event coverage (15 out of 15) led ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT and ET CANADA among total viewers, A18-49, and A25-54.
- Against ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, ETALK's coverage was higher by 44% with total viewers, 54% with A18-34, 67% with A18-49, and 77% with A25-54.
- Against ET CANADA, ETALK's coverage was higher by 52% with total viewers, 52% with A18-34, 60% with A18-49, and 58% with A25-54.
- This season alone, ETALK delivered two of its Top 3 audiences of all time with nearly one million viewers tuning into ETALK's post-GOLDEN GLOBE® (983,000) and post-OSCARS® (959,000) coverage.
