Uniban Canada becomes the majority shareholder of the Docteur Du Pare-Brise network
LAVAL, QC, Dec. 5, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Earlier this year, Uniban Canada acquired the trademarks and the franchise networks Star Auto Glass and Go Glass and Accessories, primarily located in Ontario. Uniban Canada, leader in the automotive glass industry, today announces they have acquired the majority shares of Neuromage, holders of the brand and franchise rights of the Docteur Du Pare-Brise (DPB) network. Counting 55 stores across the province of Quebec, DPB services focus mainly on auto glass, tires and vehicle accessories.
This transaction continues a series of strategic acquisitions aimed at reinforcing Uniban Canada's leadership position in the automotive aftermarket industry in Canada. Following a long-standing partnership with Les Entreprises Robert Thibert, this acquisition comes from a shared vision of a changing industry.
''We are very proud to acquire this network of entrepreneurs dedicated to their community and contributing to Quebec's local economy. This acquisition is of strategic value to us as it solidifies our commitment to making our brands a destination of choice for consumers. We offer well-located stores and experts who assist and reassure our clients navigating through a claim or when the time comes to invest in the maintenance and appearance of their vehicle'', says Marc Desmarais, President and Chief Executive Officer of Uniban Canada and Chief Operating Officer of the PH Group.
''We believe the DPB business model is a powerful complement to Uniban's franchise network family and will become a popular model for supporting our company's expansion projects outside of Quebec. This acquisition is part of the evolution of our strategy to offer business solutions that contribute to the value creation for our clients and investors'' he adds.
"I am very proud to transfer the leadership of Docteur du Pare-Brise network to a Canadian company that shares the same vision and values as we do. I am certain that this transaction will enable the Docteur du Pare-Brise network to continue to grow and perform well." adds Christian Thibert, President of Robert Thibert Enterprises.
"In addition, this transaction allows Enterprise Robert Thibert Inc to realign its growth strategy and concentrate on our wheel, vehicle accessory, RVs, trailer and tooling distribution throughout North America,''. He continues.
With this acquisition, Uniban Canada now operates franchise networks counting more than 220 stores in Canada under the VitroPlus, UniglassPlus and Ziebart brands as well as those mentioned above. In addition, Uniban has an impressive 300 mobile service units across the country.
