UNICEF Canada's response to school massacre in Pakistan
TORONTO, Dec. 16, 2014 /CNW/ - UNICEF Canada's President and CEO, David Morley, responds to the school massacre in Peshawar, Pakistan, that has left at least 126 people dead, mostly children:
"This is a crime against humanity. It's an atrocity against all civilized norms – in any culture and any country—to commit such a heinous act. Our hearts are with the parents and families of the children who've suffered such an unspeakable loss.
Every effort must be made to bring the perpetrators of this horrific crime to justice. At the same time, we must do everything possible to encourage dialogue and a peaceful resolution of differences; otherwise we have only violence and destruction with children caught in the crossfire or, in this case, targeted."
