SURREY, BC, May 9, 2018 /CNW/ - Unifor members from around the Lower Mainland and other supporters will join striking Local 3000 workers at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel for a rally for a fair contract.
"We're going to show this employer that we have our members' back every step of the way," said Jerry Dias, Unifor National President. "Hospitality workers at the Sheraton Guildford deserve respect and a fair contract."

Legal job action began at 4:01 a.m. on Tuesday, May 1. Since then, major bookings at the hotel have been moved—including an event with Surrey Mayor Linda Hepner—as several organizations choose to respect the Unifor Local 3000 picket line. Unifor represents 120 workers in all areas of the hotel including guest services, the lounge, banquets, kitchen, laundry, room attendants, and maintenance.
