Global Casual Apparel Retailer to launch at Metropolis at Metrotown, 10:00 am October 6
VANCOUVER, Oct. 3, 2017 /CNW/ - UNIQLO, global casual apparel retailer, opens its first store in the Greater Vancouver Area at Metropolis at Metrotown with local celebrations including an exclusive giveaway trip for two to Tokyo and a number of special offers. The store will open at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 6, and UNIQLO looks forward to welcoming all customers to its first store in the Greater Vancouver Area.

Located on the Ground Level and Lower Level, and facing the Grand Court of the mall, UNIQLO Metropolis at Metrotown is a two-level store with a total sales floor of approximately 20,800 square feet. The store will feature a range of core items for men, women, kids and babies that are recognized for quality, functionality and innovation. In addition to the brand's signature items such as BLOCKTECH, Ultra Light Down, HEATTECH, Cashmere, Extra Fine Merino, Jeans and Oxford Shirts, the store will carry the Uniqlo U collection and the "UNIQLO and JW ANDERSON" collection.
On the morning of October 6, to celebrate the opening of UNIQLO, the company will give away a trip for two to Tokyo. On the day of the opening, the first 500 customers will receive a limited edition Vancouver UNIQLO canvas tote bag. Prior to the opening, local artisanal ice cream and pastry shop, La Glace, will provide their signature Matcha Noir macarons and local coffee roasters Timbertrain will be providing coffee and tea for customers waiting to enter the store. Additionally, customers who spend over $100 (before taxes) will receive a free, limited edition Furoshiki, limit one per customer, while quantities last. This simple square cloth can be used in many ways, including gift wrapping.
During opening weekend, UNIQLO Canada will also provide customers with special promotional prices on popular core items including BLOCKTECH Parkas and Extra Fine Merino sweaters for both men and women.
The store will mark the opening on October 6 with a traditional Japanese Taiko drum performance and ribbon cutting ceremony which will be attended by his worship Mayor Corrigan, City of Burnaby, along with John C Jay, President of Global Creative at Fast Retailing and local brand ambassadors.
