Celebrating the launch with the brand campaign "Natural Union" inspired by the region's signature contrast of natural and urban environments
VANCOUVER, Sept. 6, 2017 /CNW/ - UNIQLO, the global casual apparel retailer, today announced it will open its first store in the Greater Vancouver Area at Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 6. Located on the Ground Level and Lower Level, and facing the Grand Court, the UNIQLO Metropolis at Metrotown is a two-level store with a total sales floor of approximately 20,800 square feet, featuring men's, women's, and kids' clothing. The store will be the company's third location in Canada, following the opening of two stores in Toronto last year.
"Vancouver is a key city in Canada and internationally. We are excited to introduce the Greater Vancouver Area to our LifeWear products that are constantly improved to offer more warmth, more lightness and more comfort - as well as our exceptional value and customer service," said Yasuhiro Hayashi, Chief Operating Officer of UNIQLO Canada. "It is a natural fit and progression for UNIQLO to open a store in this region. We believe that our simple yet innovative, high-quality clothing fits perfectly into the climate, culture and lifestyle of Vancouverites."
Celebrating the opening of the store at Metropolis at Metrotown, UNIQLO launches the brand campaign titled "Natural Union". Inspired by the region's signature contrast of natural and urban environments, and the merging of cultures from around the world, the campaign celebrates the contradictions that make up the Vancouver lifestyle, and presents how LifeWear forms its own "Natural Union" with Vancouverites. To bring this to life, UNIQLO worked closely with locals who embrace these contrasting elements. The campaign will run from September 18 across digital and out-of-home media platforms. In addition to global signature items such as Ultra Light Down, HEATTECH, Cashmere, Extra Fine Merino, Jeans and Oxford Shirts, the store will carry the collaboration lines: "UNIQLO and JW ANDERSON" and "INES DE LA FRESSANGE" collections.
