Visionary thinking and leadership paved the way to launch United's involvement in the AIR MILES Reward Program
TORONTO, Aug. 22, 2012 /CNW/ - On June 21, 2012, United Van Lines (Canada) Ltd. was proud to receive an AIR MILES 20th Anniversary Founding Sponsor Award at the AIR MILES Reward Program's Annual Marketing Conference. The award signifies the strong partnership that made United Van Lines one of the first-ever Sponsors for the Program, more than 20 years ago. Held at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto, Ontario, the annual conference brings together a roster of the more than 120 AIR MILES Sponsors from across the country, also comprising Canada's top brands.
President of United Van Lines (Canada) Ltd., Anne Martin was an integral part of negotiating the United Van Lines sponsor contract with Bryan Pearson, of the AIR MILES Reward Program, in 1992. Pearson is now the President and CEO of LoyaltyOne Inc., which owns and operates AIR MILES. "I am honoured to have been involved in the formative stages of developing the United Van Lines (Canada) Ltd. partnership with AIR MILES," says Martin. "Now, 20 years later, AIR MILES is one of the most reputable brands in the country with which we are proud to be associated."
Customers who move with United Van Lines have the opportunity to earn one (1) AIR MILES reward mile for every $30.00 spent.* With the huge success and interest in the offer, United Van Lines expanded the partnership with the AIR MILES Reward Program to include the Mayflower Canada brand and the Do-It-Yourself Flexible Move brand. Spanning 20 years, AIR MILES Collectors have earned over 15,000,000 AIR MILES reward miles through United Van Lines (Canada) Ltd.; a true testament to the popularity of the incentives and strength of this partnership.
"We are very excited to present a Founding Sponsor Award to United Van Lines. For 20 years, the company has worked with our dedicated team at the AIR MILES Reward Program to find ways to evolve the partnership and add even more value to Collectors, whether moving goods across town or from coast-to-coast," says Bryan Pearson.
