Unlock the power of real-time, online at #CAJ14
OTTAWA, April 18, 2014 /CNW/ - You've watched journalists report in real time and want to unlock the power of liveblogs that keep readers glued to your websites whenever news breaks.
ScribbleLive's director of content Kim Fox works on the cutting edge of real-time content. She helps clients around the world use ScribbleLive's popular liveblogging platform to shape their coverage of news as it happens. The platform was invaluable to Boston.com's coverage of last year's terror attack and Reuters' ongoing coverage of the Syrian conflict, among other events.
Fox, a former community manager at CBC, will present real-time best practices to delegates at the #CAJ14 national conference, which runs May 9-10 at the Holiday Inn and Suites Downtown Vancouver.
Registration for the conference is open, with fewer than three weeks remaining to take advantage of early bird rates ending April 25. Our rates heavily favour CAJ members, who can attend the conference and get a ticket to the conference banquet and CAJ Awards gala for $239 plus taxes. Full details on registration, including all rates, are available on the CAJ website.
The conference offers two days of speakers, panels and workshops designed to appeal to every working journalist. The premiere event Saturday is the CAJ conference banquet and CAJ Awards gala, which honours the finest work produced by Canadian journalists across all media. A ticket to the banquet is included with most full-conference registrations. Standalone tickets are available at $45 each. A direct link to the registration portal is available.
Bookmark the conference program available on the CAJ website, where new content will be added as it's confirmed.
The CAJ is Canada's largest national professional organization for journalists from all media, representing over 600 members across the country. The CAJ's primary roles are to provide public-interest advocacy and high-quality professional development for its members.
