TORONTO, Sept. 2, 2016 /CNW/ - Voting in the Scarborough—Rouge River provincial by-election concluded on Thursday September 1st, 2016. Over 571 poll officials assisted voters at the polls and results were delivered for 11 candidates.
Unofficial results currently indicate that 28.14% of eligible voters in the electoral district of Scarborough—Rouge River cast their ballot. By comparison, 47.5% of eligible voters during the 2014 General Election cast their ballot in the electoral district of Scarborough—Rouge River. This includes those who voted at advance polls, by special ballot and on Election Day.
Official tabulation will be commencing at 2 p.m. on Friday September 2nd, 2016 and will conclude the same day. As part of the unofficial results, the number of declined, rejected and unmarked ballots will be available at elections.on.ca.
