MONTRÉAL, Nov. 5, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - I see mtl organizers are delighted with the unprecedented mobilization their movement has created. Project leaders had until October 31 to commit to helping revitalize the city by submitting their actions on the iseemtl.com platform. Over 200 projects were submitted.
"In September, we called on citizens, civil society organizations and businesses to mobilize for the city," said Michel Leblanc, co-spokesperson for I see mtl and President and CEO of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal. "We hoped to get around 100 leaders involved to deliver as many projects to stimulate Greater Montréal's economy. Over 200 actions were submitted on the platform. So at this point, I think we can say 'mission accomplished.'"
"The number and quality of the projects submitted handily exceeded the expectations I had when we launched the I see mtl movement," said L. Jacques Ménard, co-spokesperson for I see mtl and president of BMO Financial Group, Quebec. "This unprecedented mobilization shows that Montréal's revitalization is well under way and that there are many people who can picture and want to build the Montréal of tomorrow."
Of the projects submitted on the platform, 150 met the selection criteria. These will be discussed during the major event taking place on November 17 at Place des Arts. We encourage you to consult and comment on the proposals selected by registering on iseemtl.com.
