MONTRÉAL, Aug. 10th 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - NDG Arts Week unveiled the official program for its 7th edition. From August 22nd to 28th, the neighbourhood of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce will showcase the world-class talent of local artists with free performances and workshops for all ages.
Festival spokesperson Paul Cargnello was thankful to everyone who contributes to the festival's success: "NDG Arts Week continues to grow in quality and diversity thanks to our devoted volunteers, the support of our sponsors and especially the significant financial contribution of the Borough."
Russell Copeman, mayor of the borough of Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce was on hand to show his support: "Each year, NDG Arts Week presents award-winning artists in a neighbourly environment. Last year I committed to increase Borough support for this initiative. With a $10,000 grant as well as technical support, the representatives of the Borough can be proud for delivering on their promise"
NDG Arts Week is also proud to announce Netronix will be this year's festival sponsor while several activities will be made possible thanks to a financial contribution from Notre-Dame-des-Arts, an NDG-based charity that promotes arts and culture.
Exciting new additions to this year's programming include a circus performance by Vague de cirque under a big top in Benny Park as well as a comedy show at Café Shaïka. Traditional events such as NDG Off the Wall, the NDG Art Walk, and Samedi in the Park are back by popular demand.
