Another Arrest Made - Male Charged with First Degree Murder
ESSA, ON, Oct. 6, 2013 /CNW/ - The Nottawasaga and Caledon Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) is continuing its investigation into the homicide of 39-year old Herminder BHANDAL, of Brampton Ontario. The victim was recovered from a burned vehicle in the area of Scotch Line and County Road 21 in Essa Township on Sunday August 25, 2013 at approximately 6:15am.
As a result of the investigation that is continuing under the direction of CIB Detective Inspector Colleen McCormick, with the assistance of the Peel Regional Police Homicide Unit, another person has been arrested.
Facing a charge of First Degree Murder is 51-year old Narankar DHILLON of Brampton, Ontario. He is presently in custody charged and is scheduled to appear for a Bail Hearing tomorrow at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Orangeville.
Prior to this arrest, there were 5 other males who were arrested and charged with First Degree Murder and one male who has been charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder. All these individuals have been remanded and remain in custody.
