As part of a planned national sampling and compliance project, Health Canada tested a number of uncertified USB chargers. The following products were found to pose an unacceptable risk of electric shock and fire and are being recalled. This table will be updated if and when new products are recalled.

What you should do:

• Immediately stop using the products above and either return them to the retailer where you bought them or dispose of them.
• Use only certified electrical products.
• Provincial and territorial electrical codes require that all electrical products sold must be certified, which means that they meet the applicable Canadian electrical safety standards.
• Certified products can be identified by a recognized certification mark on the product.
• The certification mark must be on the product itself, not just the packaging.
• If you are unsure whether a product is certified, ask the retailer to show you the certification mark on the product before you buy it.
