The location of the event has been updated.
OTTAWA, Nov. 17, 2017 /CNW/ - Media representatives are advised that the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Catherine McKenna, and the Right Honourable Brian Mulroney will deliver welcoming remarks at the opening of the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Montreal Protocol.
Canada is hosting the Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol, 30 years after the signing of the historic agreement that has eliminated over 99 percent of substances that were thinning the earth's protective ozone layer. Like the Paris Agreement on climate change, the Montreal Protocol shows the amazing things we can accomplish when countries work together on a common goal. This will be the 29th Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol.
