Insider Wins process almost complete for Hawkesbury couple
TORONTO, Jan. 31, 2012 /CNW/ - JoAnn and Gaetan Champagne of Hawkesbury are one step closer to claiming their lottery win of $50,000,000 from the LOTTO MAX draw on December 30, 2011.
As JoAnn and Gaetan Champagne were employed as lottery retailers within the past year, their prize claim is subject to OLG's Insider Wins process.
The Champagnes owned and operated Jo's Depanneur in Hawkesbury until October 2011, with Mrs. Champagne continuing to work at the convenience store until recently.
As of today's date, this prize claim has completed the first two steps of a three-step Insider Wins process. Under this process, the prize claim was reviewed by OLG, and independently through the province's lottery regulator, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
To complete the prize claim, the prize will be held for a 30-day waiting period as part of OLG's Insider Wins process, in order for OLG to publicize the win. If there are no additional claims on this prize, it will be paid to the claimant on or around February 29, 2012 based on this 30-day wait period.
The ticket was purchased at Pharmaprix on Aberdeen St. in Hawkesbury.
