VANCOUVER, July 19 /CNW/ - High player volumes to the Playnow.com website on July 15th exceeded server capacity creating traffic and load issues. When BCLC learned about this situation, immediate action was taken to shut down PlayNow.com and a full assessment was initiated.
To date, the preliminary results from the assessment and a third party security review show no evidence of external interference or "hacking".
BCLC treats this matter with utmost seriousness. BCLC is implementing and testing a technical solution to address the issues in addition to adding capacity. Third party and regulatory testing is underway and once complete, BCLC intends to restore PlayNow.com.
