Updated InvestRight Guide makes it easy for investors to work with their
investment advisors
The completely revised new guide targets two types of B.C. investors - those who invest with banks or investment firms, and those interested in private company investing. Interactive worksheets support each chapter, making it easy for investors to involve themselves with greater confidence in the investments they make.

Written with B.C. investors in mind, but useful for investors everywhere, the new guide will help both newer and more experienced investors approach their advisor as a partner rather than an all-knowing authority. It is published in "e-book" format and can be downloaded for free from the BCSC's investor education website at www.investright.org.
The guide also provides step-by-step instructions for conducting background checks on advisors and firms using the Canadian Securities Administrators' (CSA) National Registration Search. This national database of individuals and firms registered to advise and trade in securities was introduced last October by the CSA as part of a complete overhaul of the Canadian securities industry registration regime.
