Wednesday, October 14: Release of next phase of integrated transportation plan (technical briefing followed by news conference) Time: 7:30 am to 9:30 am Location: VANOC Headquarters, 400-3585 Graveley Street, Vancouver, BC Format: The technical briefing, which starts at 7:30 am sharp, will be immediately followed by a full news conference. Media interested in attending are required to stay for the full two-hour session. Content will include: - Key dates and details about when the transportation plan will go into affect in the region - Details for travel on the Sea to Sky Highway, including the Olympic Bus Network - Overview of transportation plans for the Paralympic Winter Games - A look at the public awareness campaign that launches this month - Tips and advice for the public on planning for travel in 2010. Spokespersons/subject matter experts from VANOC, the City of Vancouver, the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW), TransLink, BC Transit, the provincial Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoT), and the Vancouver 2010 Integrated Security Unit (V2010 ISU) will participate.
