The Government of Canada awards $1 million in financial assistance to this Gatineau business

VanillaSoft Corp. is a highly innovative company in the information technology sector. To meet growing demand and develop new markets, it will receive a repayable contribution of $1 million from Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions. With this financial assistance, VanillaSoft will be able to complete a project to improve its software platform and continue to grow and commercialize its product in new markets.
The funding was announced today by Greg Fergus, Member of Parliament for Hull-Aylmer. More specifically, the Government of Canada's assistance will help VanillaSoft consolidate its technological advances, including the integration of artificial intelligence, and implement a marketing campaign in America, Europe and Oceania that will include promotional activities, webinars and social media advertising.
Founded in 2005, VanillaSoft offers a web-based software platform allowing sales teams to effectively target, prioritize and manage contacts with potential customers. The platform, better known in the industry as the Sales Engagement Platform, integrates communications by telephone, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), email and text messaging.

Today's announcement was made on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister responsible for the Innovation, Science and Economic Development portfolio, which is made up of 17 federal departments and agencies, including CED and the other five regional development agencies.
The funding was awarded under CED's Regional Economic Growth through Innovation program. This program targets entrepreneurs who leverage innovation to grow their businesses and make them more competitive, as well as regional economic stakeholders who help create an entrepreneurial environment conducive to innovation and inclusive growth in all regions.
