WINNIPEG, June 12, 2012 /CNW/ - The Canadian Grain Commission's Dr. Dave Hatcher and the Farm Leadership Council are presenting a webinar: Discussion of the Canadian variety registration system of the Prairie Grain Development Committee on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. CDT. This presentation is open to the public.
"This webinar will focus on the variety registration for wheat and will help answer many questions about how this process works in Western Canada, who is involved and how producers, grain industry and customers benefit," says Dr. Hatcher.
Dr. Hatcher will also look at how new wheat varieties are evaluated and how decisions are made to accept or reject a variety. Following the webinar, participants will have the opportunity to discuss and ask questions about the variety registration process.
