Veridian's Conservation Ambassadors make stop in Pickering at city's annual Ribfest event
AJAX, ON, May 28, 2014 /CNW/ - Veridian's Conservation Ambassadors will be in Pickering this coming Friday through Sunday at the city's 7th Annual Rotary Ribfest at Esplanade Park. The community event is one of many the Ambassadors have been attending to educate customers and promote the province-wide saveONenergy conservation programs. Their community outreach will continue through the spring and summer months at festivals and events held in municipalities served by Veridian.
"We are really excited to have the Conservation Ambassadors join us this weekend at Ribfest to educate area residents on Veridian's conservation programs and the simple but meaningful actions they can take to reduce their energy use," said Veridian Board Chair and Pickering Deputy Mayor Doug Dickerson. "Veridian is committed to providing its customers with tips and resources to help reduce energy use during peak times, lowering their energy bills and providing advice on how to stay cool during the hot, summer months."
The Conservation Ambassadors will have information and material on a wide-range of topics, from valuable coupon booklets that provide discounts on energy-efficient products for the home to time-of-use decals, energy conservation handbooks and brochures.
