OTTAWA, March 20, 2017 /CNW/ - Canada's Veterans Ombudsman, Guy Parent, is hosting a public town hall for Veterans, military and RCMP members, their families, and other interested parties on Facebook Live, and in-person for those in the Ottawa area on Tuesday, March 21st.
The Ombudsman will hear the concerns of the Veterans' community, provide information about the work his Office is doing to help Veterans, and share his priorities for addressing the gaps in the benefits and services that are provided to Veterans and their families. "This is an opportunity to hear the issues from Veterans and their families from coast, to coast, to coast, and to discuss the issues that are affecting them, "said Guy Parent, Veterans Ombudsman.
Anyone wishing to join the Town Hall in-person in the Ottawa area is invited to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 632 in Orleans at 6:45 PM. The Town Hall will be live on Facebook for Veteran communities across the country starting at 7 PM EDT. After a brief introduction, Mr. Parent will be answering questions live from Facebook and from the audience.
