MONTREAL, July 12, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - VIA Rail Canada (VIA Rail) services between Winnipeg and Gillam will resume on Friday, July 13. Heavy rains in Northern Manitoba had caused the closure of a portion of the railway in the Thicket Portage area, thus forcing VIA Rail to cancel two departures earlier this week.
The next scheduled trains are:

Friday, July 13, between Thompson and Gillam (train #695)
Sunday, July 15, between The Pas and Gillam (train # 691)
Southbound |
Saturday, July 14, between Gillam and The Pas (train #690)
Monday, July 16, between Gillam and Winnipeg (train #692)
