OTTAWA, Nov. 15, 2016 /CNW/ - VICE News journalist Ben Makuch, journalist Mohamed Fahmy, La Presse journalist Patrick Lagacé and Executive Director of Canadian Journalists for Free Expression (CJFE) Tom Henheffer will be holding a joint news conference on November 16th calling on the Government to protect freedom of the press in Canada.
They will discuss their own personal experiences with police surveillance, the use of RCMP production orders and the need for greater protections for journalists working in Canada.
