Canada's most prestigious award for literary non-fiction will be handed out at an afternoon ceremony at the OMNI King Edward Hotel in Toronto on Monday afternoon. In the running are Ottawa's Charlotte Gray for The Massey Murder: A Maid, Her Master, And The Trial That Shocked A Country; Guelph's Thomas King for The Inconvenient Indian; Vancouver's J.B. MacKinnon for The Once And Future World: Nature As It Was, As It Is, As It Could Be; and Afghanistan's Graeme Smith for The Dogs Are Eating Them Now; and Vancouver's David Stouck for Arthur Erickson: An Architect's Life. Graeme Smith recently won the 2013 Hilary Weston Writer's Trust Prize for Nonfiction and Thomas King just won the 2014 BC Book Prize.
