Video B-Roll available via CNW - School's out...and so is physical activity
warns the Heart and Stroke Foundation
TORONTO, June 21 /CNW/ - The following B-Roll is available by Broadcast On-Demand web download:
STORY SUMMARY: On June 21st, the first day of summer, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario releases a report asking: once school is out, will GTA kids be physically active this summer?
A May 2010 survey by the Heart and Stroke Foundation reveals the harsh realities GTA parents face when it comes to making summer activity arrangements for their children in the 11 weeks they have off in July and August. Kids used to be able to hop on their bikes in the morning and come home before the streetlights came on. Those days are long gone.
What's preventing our children from being active? What are parents' real priorities? Does physical activity depend on who's minding the kids?
